FINAL THOUGHTS

I feel like I focused a lot more on the marks and textures in my research than on the shapes, so if I had more time I would've liked to create a series of simpler sculptures that mimicked the structure of the various corners and angles I had documented.

There are a few outcomes that I tried and ended up not developing further, such as my knitted samples (which I did not want to carry on with as I'd focused so much on knit this year that I wanted to try something else). I feel like I did have problems with motivation and time management this project, partly because of commitments outside of uni and partly because I think I struggled to really connect/stay engaged with the brief and what I had chosen to do with it. I am ultimately happy with what I've produced, but I definitely do not feel like this is finished. Aside from more sculptures, I would've liked to go back to my initial drawings and markmaking and look at what I could've done with prints instead.
